About Rebecca

My career began in international arbitration at Herbert Smith Freehills, where I worked on high-value, cross-border disputes, before moving into regional business development and strategic growth roles at Clifford Chance and Baker McKenzie, supporting leading practices across Asia-Pacific.

Across these roles, I worked closely with partners, practice leaders and regional leadership, gaining first-hand insight into how practices grow, how reputations are built, and how opportunities are created across one of the world's most dynamic professional markets.

That journey has given me a perspective few people have: I have experienced the market from both sides of the table — first as an arbitration practitioner, and later as a regional business development strategist.

Today, I bring those perspectives together.

I work with professionals, practices and organisations to bridge the gap between expertise and opportunity — helping them position themselves intentionally, build meaningful relationships, and navigate the complexities of doing business across Asia.

I work across English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay. But my role is not linguistic translation alone.

It is professional, commercial and cultural translation — helping clients understand not only how to communicate in Asia, but how to resonate within it.

Because Asia is not a single market. It is a collection of relationships, cultures and unwritten rules.

Asia does not reward volume.
It rewards clarity, relevance and trust.

That is the work of Bai.

Why Bai Exists

I founded Bai.Acceleration to solve a high-stakes problem:

exceptional professionals and organisations struggling to translate their expertise into influence across Asia.

My work is built on a simple belief:

In Asia, being exceptional is not enough.
You must be understood, trusted and remembered by the right people, in the right markets, at the right time.

I've been in the room when world-class expertise failed to resonate because it wasn't positioned for the audience in front of it. I've seen global reputations lose momentum when they crossed borders, and outstanding professionals overlooked because others told a more compelling story.

That is why Bai.Acceleration exists.

I work with arbitrators, disputes practitioners, law firms and legal organisations to turn expertise into reputation, relationships and opportunity across Asia.

Because in a market as diverse and relationship-driven as Asia, success is rarely determined by capability alone.

It comes from making Asia make sense.
